The first time I used a handmade soap I was completely hooked! The difference was amazing and my skin felt great. I was so hooked in fact, that I HAD to make some for myself. After some trials I came up with recipes that produced beautiful soap. Over time my friends and family said “you should sell this stuff”. I took their advice and started Good Morning Soapworks. I have received many compliments about the quality of the soap and bath products and now have many repeat customers.
What kind of soap maker am I?
Some soap makers are purists that will only use essential oils and plant colorants or nothing added at all. Others will use the wildest colors and get crazy with swirls, additives and fragrances. For some soapers it's all about packaging and coming up with cool names.
I like to think that I'm somewhere in the middle of all that. I do love soap in its purest and simplest form. Sometimes I just want to get creative with color and fragrance. How the soap comes out depends on my mood. I try to keep a staple of fan favorites on hand at all times, but it wouldn't be fun for me if I wasn't experimenting and trying new things!
I only use finest quality botanical oils and the finest ingredients - NO animal
products or artificial preservatives. My soaps are made in small batches done in the cold-process method. Skin pampering ingredients such as sweet almond oil, olive oil and Shea butter are used, as well as, coconut oil and Castor oil for good suds! Additionally, the best essential oils, cosmetic grade fragrance oils and colorants along with natural exfoliants are added to enhance the quality of the soaps. I take great care in measuring the premium oils and butters, hand cutting each bar and labeling each bar. My soaps are 100% handmade to ensure the best quality. Once you use a handmade soap you’ll never want to go back to the store bought soaps again.
Commercial soaps contain harsh chemicals and detergents that can be harmful to your skin. My all-vegetable soaps contain only the most moisturizing and skin loving natural ingredients. The process of making lye soaps in the traditional manner retains the naturally occurring glycerin, an essential humectant for keeping moisture in the skin. Commercial soaps remove the glycerin to use in other products. These “detergent” bars strip your skin of moisture which can result in a bar that is irritating and drying.
Because my soaps are handcrafted, there may be a slight variance in color and strength of scent. The recipes, however, are consistent and incorporate only the best ingredients. To get the most lather out of your soap, use a bath pouf or loofah.
Try a bar! You be hooked just like me!
Happy sudsing!
